Hi Mark, You may care to further investigate Alfred Edgar Frederick Higgs, present pics of outward-leaning MG R-Types ( identifying both limitations and promising aspects of MG Rs), and look at effects of MG racing department closure 1935. Is that R-Type MG I sat in so long ago still in Australia(it could add more info to your research)?
